What’s Worth Your Money?

As many people know, styles and trends differ around the world. Personally I’ve had a lot of exposure and experience with these differences between the US and Europe. Growing up, I lived in America but traveled to Norway 3 times a year for weeks at a time. This gave me the opportunity to try out different styles and find the clothes that make me feel comfortable and confident. These are two of the most important factors that come into play, in my opinion, when shopping for new clothes. Due to this, my closet has always been all over the place, from leggings and sweatpants to skirts and blouses and everything in between. I’ve learned to love dressing up and dressing down, and sometimes dressing in between the two vibes. I have a lot of favorite staple pieces that I wear all the time that I want to share. The price of brands is always something to consider when buying new clothes and as you probably know, you can find a lot of dupes for things on Amazon. However, sometimes it’s okay to treat yourself to something nice. Below I’ve listed 5 basics that I love and think are truly worth the money.

Because I grew up wearing Abrocrombie, I might be a bit bias, however I truly believe that their bodysuits are worth the money. Right now, Aritzia bodysuits are also extremely popular, but I have to take Abrocrombie’s side on this one. The material is so soft and supporting, and the main difference that stood out to me between Aritzia and Abrocrombie is how well it stays up. I’ve found that Aritzia bodysuits don’t stay up as well in the shoulder department, and easily slip down. I feel as though Abrocrombie bodysuits stay up better and I personally favor the material more along with feeling more comfortable in the bodysuit. And if your looking to save a few bucks, Abrocrobmie is the way to go, pricing around $45-$50, whereas Aritzia’s bodysuits go for $58.

Most people have at least heard of Lululemon, if they don’t own any. Over the past 4 years, I’ve gained quite the Lulu collection. One of my favorites being their Scuba’s! Aside from being super comfortable, looser fitting, and the perfect length, they are super easy to style and match with. Whether it’s sweats, leggings, joggers, or shorts, you can always find something to match it with. Another bonus to Lulu’s sweatshirts is that the elastic zipper doubles as an emergency hair tie! As someone with super thick, long hair, this can really come in handy. I know there are a lot of other dupes on amazon and other places, however if you are looking for the brand name, I truly think Lulu’s Scuba’s are worth your money!

Going to school near the Mall of America, I was introduced to Aritzia almost immediately and it was love at first sight. Although there are so many items I could review, their sweatsuits are a must. Whether you purchase just sweatpants, or just a sweatshirt, you are going to fall in love either way, I promise you. I personally own two pairs of TNA sweatpants and when I say they are my go-to, I’m not lying. They are so soft and comfortable and I love how they fit. There are so many different styles to chose from, but my favorite right now is the Cozy Fleece Boyfriend Basic Wide Sweatpant . You can wear these for just about anything; going to the gym, traveling, walking, going to class, grocery shopping, or even a day out on the town. You could pair these with a cute baby tee or even a bikini top this summer, or a cute matching hoodie or zip up for the fall, winter, and spring. If you live somewhere with colder seasons, TNA sweatsuits are definitely something to look into since they are so warm and cozy, especially the fleece sweats. However, if you live in a warmer climate, do not fret! They have tons on sweat shorts as well and also come in Terry Fleece, which are for all-seasons and give a breezy feel. No matter where you are, TNA sweatsuits are 100% worth the money given how good the quality is and how much use you will get out of them.

Over the past few years, I’m sure you’ve noticed skinny jeans going out of style. Well, the new “it” jeans are more straight or baggy. Personally, I’m not a fan of the baggy style on myself, however I am a big fan of straight legged jeans. One of my favorites being the Cure Love Jeans from Abrocrombie. They fit super well and are the perfect combination of tight fitting and straight legged/loose fitting. They come in multiple different denim shades and some come ripped while others do not. They are comfortable to sit in, which is SUPER important when looking for jeans and have the perfect amount of stretch to them. They are also on the longer side which is really nice depending on what shoes you want to pair them with. And speaking of making an outfit with these jeans, almost everything looks good. Whether it’s a plain black hoodie, a zip up, cropped top, sweater, button up, or blouse, it will look good! Price wise, you can find jeans just about anywhere. However if you are looking for good quality that fit perfectly, I highly suggest looking into Abrocrombie jeans.

5. Plain Black Hoodie

This is the best purchase you will ever make and it’s super self explanatory. I never had a plain black hoodie until this year and I can never go back to not owning one. And NO, before you think about the all black hoodies you have from school events, sports, logos, ect. it’s not the same. You can wear a plain black hoodie with quite literally ANYTHING!!! This is by far one of the most used hoodies I own and it’s so simple yet cute. I got mine from Gap on Black Friday for around $20 but there are so many other places you can find these. Amazon, Target, Dicks Sporting Goods, Aritzia, Abrocrombie, Pacsun, etc. There are so many to choose from ranging from all different prices but if I were to recommend ONE product… it would be a plain black hoodie. Trust me.
